A brief guide to the loop…
With signage not yet in place, it can be a little hard to find your way around if you’re not familiar with the area.
From the gravel carpark at Princess’s Revenge, head back up the fire trail to Gap road, follow it down into the quarry, cutting through the quarry to the fire road on its far side. This drops down steeply from here, and there’s a fireroad to the right after about 50m to keep you heading down. Follow this until you pass a closed trail on your left (marked with red bunting) - you’ll then see the first singletrack (“Everglades “) straight ahead.
When exiting Everglades, turn right on to the fireroad , then veer left at the intersection. Flinging Scotsman is straight ahead. This continues into Cover Shot and Tangles, the latter of which has some big berms and rollers before a short pinch takes you on to single track. Turn right up the hill, then left into “Genesis”.
At the end of Genesis, turn left on to the fireroad; the final single track (“Princess’s Revenge”) is on the right at the crest. At the end of this you’re popped out at the car park to do it all again.

Highlands Trails, along with Wild Horizons and local volunteers, were the pioneers of the mountain bike single-track trail development at Wingello State Forest and have been instrumental in developing and maintaining the current network.
Since 2013, Highlands Trails have worked closely with Forestry Corporation of NSW, who have, with progressive thinking, been able to manage both timber production, and a world class riding destination, within Wingello State Forest.
Prior to the 2020 Morton bushfire, three distinct loops, with multiple sub-loops, had been developed, allowing riders of varying skill levels and fitness to enjoy the trail network at their own level.
Highlands Trails are currently working to recover the previous trail network, and to explore opportunities for further development into the future.
