Welby XCC
This is a short course cross country race, at Welby. XCC stands for Cross Country Criterium. Riders race around a short loop of around 1km and race for a specified time (10, 15 or 20 minutes based on category) + an extra one lap. So after the leader of a 20 minute race comes through timing for the first time after the 20 minute mark, they get a bell signalling one lap to go. Every rider behind them also gets a bell and has one lap to go (even if they have been lapped). The winner is the rider with the most laps and the shortest time.
This format is fun for kids entering their first race as there is lots of spectator support. It is also fun for elite racers and everyone in between as there is plenty of room for passing and lots of opportunity for fast riding. The adults and kids do not race at the same time, so they can cheer and heckle each other on! The number of start groups will be decided on the day based on the number of entrants in each category. All riders should be ready to race at 6:00pm.
Wingello XCM

This event will be based on a 15km loop comprising around 9km of Firetrail and 6km of single trail. There are categories for all ages, from beginners and young kids to experienced racers. New members welcome!
Meryla Social Ride
Meet at Exeter General Store at 9am for 9:30am departure (earlier if you want to grab coffee beforehand!) From there we’ll head down Rockleigh Rd for a tour of Meryla Flora Reserve and the views of Bundanoon gully.
Please register through EntryBoss so we know who’s attending.
Kirrikee XCO
XCO, Kirrikee Outdoor Education Campus, Sunday 2nd February, 2pm.
This is a traditional cross country race on a loop of around 4-5km. Perfect for beginners or those wanting to try racing for the first time but also fun and fast for experienced riders. Lap numbers determined on the day, dependent on category. Number plate pickup any time after 1:00pm, racing at 2pm for all categories.
Riders may do a practice lap around the course between 1:00pm-2:00pm, before racing begins but the trail is reasonably straight-forward with nothing super technical and should be able to be ridden without a practice lap.
Please note all entry is online - CUTOFF is at 10:00am on Sunday, so that we have time to print start lists etc before heading to the track.
Fitzroy Falls Social Ride
Meet at Twin Falls Bush Cottages at 10am for 10:30am departure, parking just inside the boundary gate. Ride will take in the single trail at twin Falls Bush Cottages (thank you Brad and Sharni McGee!) and surrounding firetrails/lookouts.
Bring swimmers if you'd like a dip in the pool after the ride!
Please register through EntryBoss so we know who’s attending.
Kirrikee Xmas Social Ride
A social ride and morning tea to finish off the year.
Meet at Kirrikee at 7:30am for an 8am departure into the wilds of Penrose SF.
We’ll head along Kareela Rd and Penrose Forest Way before taking the fireroads to Stingray Swamp, where we’ll stop for morning tea and (optional) swim.
For the family members that just want to come along for the goodies, it’s an easy walk into Stingray Swamp from either Ferndale Road or Penrose Forest Way (both are marked on the map below).
For both riders and those walking in from Penrose Forest Way, be prepared to get your feet wet as there’s a few shin-deep water crossings along the way.
The GD Champs
The GD Champs is a bike race that commemorates George Dummer, a talented mountain biker and all round local legend from the Southern Highlands of NSW, who tragically passed away in 2020, aged 14. The inaugural event included Oxley College and Chevalier College. In 2022, 107 riders from many schools competed and the format changed to Enduro. In 2023 we opened the GD Champs to riders of all ages.
An Enduro Format, the GD Champs features 3 fast, fun, flowing (mostly downhill) trails of 1-2km at Welby mountain bike trails. Ride all 3 trails as many times as you like to record your best times.
Categories for all age groups (U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U19, open, 50+) and E-bike.
