More weather…

The wet weather on the east coast continues…

With heavy rain falling over the last 24 hours (as of Thursday, 22nd Sept), we’ve made the call to close the Welby MTB Trails for the next few days. Tony assessed the network this morning before making the call, and will continue to check the trails as the rains ease up.

We’ve also decided to cancel the day/night race at Kirrikee. Whilst Penrose hasn’t been nearly as badly impacted by rain (as of posting), the ground is still quite sodden. With more rain forecast on Friday and Saturday we felt that we’d end up causing excessive damage to the trails - and your drivetrains - if we were to go ahead.

In better news, we’ll still be running the Wingello working bee on Sunday, so if you’re aching to get any sort of trail action, feel free to join us!
